Murray designs and carves both traditional and modern designs and will make either to order. You can choose a theme or themes and these examples may give you some idea of what is possible. You can be sure no two are the same!
The first example shows a traditional type of spoon with the lovebirds and the paired hearts. The bowl of the spoon itself is also shaped to suggest a heart. The daisies suggest that the lady is a keen gardener and the anchor is because the partner is a sailor. Anchors are sometimes used to show stability in a relationship as well.
The second example shows a birth day or christening with its stork and a horseshoe for luck. The individual's name and / or date of birth would normally be carved on the heart near the centre of the spoon. If you have a particular shape or design in mind then remember that Murray can make it for you, subject to its suitability to be carved in wood.
